Our Story

Sonny Pham, the founder of Chef Sonny, arrived in Canada in 1989 after years of living and traveling through Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. His journey across these diverse culinary landscapes sparked a passion for food and culture that would define his career.

In 2005, Sonny realized his dream of opening his own restaurant, “Oodle Noodle,” on Edmonton's vibrant Whyte Avenue, where he served dishes inspired by his travels throughout Asia. Over the past 19 years, Oodle Noodle has grown into a beloved local brand, supported by the establishment of the “Noodle Factory” in 2010. The factory has played a crucial role in supplying noodles, sauces, tofu, and more to all Oodle Noodle locations, streamlining operations and ensuring quality and consistency across every dish.

Today, Sonny has expanded his vision with “Chef Sonny,” his venture into the food manufacturing industry. Chef Sonny now produces all items originally crafted at the Noodle Factory, but the main specialty is spring rolls in a wide variety of flavors, reflecting Sonny’s dedication to offering high-quality, delicious products. Chef Sonny goes beyond serving Oodle Noodle, providing these authentic and flavorful creations to other businesses looking to enhance their menus. By sharing his passion and expertise, Sonny continues to enrich the culinary landscape across Canada.
